Have you ever noticed that the little plastic men never eat anything? It's a wonder that they're not skinny little skeletons! So, I have a question: how would one make 1/35 scale food, such as sausage, sandwiches, bread, soup, etc? Thanks for your time.

well, just about any food stuff you can sculpt, with a little practice and some epoxy putty.
If you are real good, you can ever make a little roasted piggy, with the apple in his mouth.
Sausages, breads, and the like are really only little tubes, shaped a bit. A roast would be
just a little different in shape, and larger. Start with simple shapes, and go on to making
a roast chicken or turkey. For soup, a little clear 5 minute epoxy, and some stuff floating around would work fine.
Be creative man..... I'm hungry........

There is. I think Custom Dioramics makes a food set. I know Verlinden has a bottle and crate set. They also have a sack of potatos and other small foodstuff.

Plus model makes a set of German field kitchen stuff, as well as lots of ration boxes: http://www.plusmodel.cz/view_en.php?id=124
Tamiya used to make a "German Soldiers at Rest" set that included a couple troops eating and relaxing, as well as some sausages and loaves of bread.
