The majority of the images appear very professional! Excellent job. My only thought is on the grenade throwing soldier: seems a little far off to be throwing a grenade. I like the splash effect (plus the wave effect); its the first fime I've seen it though I'm sure not the first time done. I would've thought they'd be a little more tipped or at least both looking slightly less than each other. I love the crowdedness of the beach, showing what it really was like. Tons of troops, maybe adding a few more wounded/dead would add to the realness of it. Thought the Sherman should have the breathing funnel? Overall: A+ tell your father good job.

This is an excellent diorama. A lot of action and very well portrayed. Could you share with us some of the techniques your dad used while building this diorama. Also, what kits did he use?

Fantastic. I like that I get the sense there's a lot more going on than is physically portrayed.
The photos are exceptional, especially in b/w - it lends a feeling of realism to the photos.
Great Job. It would be nice if you could share the splash technique - it's particularly impressive.

HI!!
Thanks to all of you for your positive comments!!
I'll give some more details:
The diorama took about 300 hours of hard working!
The slpash effect has made with a fiber for stuffing.
The basement of the diorama was made with wooden table 30x80 cm, the hill and the beach are made of multistratus of cardboard for boxes and covered by white glue, chalk and colored dusts.
The see is made of a plastic sheet made by Faller, and of some colored sheets blue and grey, put on a plexiglass sheet. The waves are made of resins producted by Woodland scenics Noch, colored with white acrlylic color.
The figures are from several kits: Revell, Nexos, Italeri, Airfix, Priser.
The LCVP from Armageddon.
The Bunker is from PNsud Atlantic Wall.
Beach obstacles and trencees from PNsud Atlantic Wall. Other obstacles are self made.
Many of these materials was bought from Tracks & Troops web site.
The colors used are acrylic Life color and Vallejo.
Thanks again...and I hope to hear from you soon with a new diorama (maybe about Cassino battle)...
Luca

That is an awsome dio you got there and i love the water effects. Your dad has got to have a lot of time on his hand (plus paint). I find 1/72nd to small thats why i work with 1/35th.
