I do not know the nomenclature, but I believe it is a tactical fire engine as used by US Army engineer detachments (fire fighting). I saw a photo of some Army firefighters in Afghanistan, but only part of the fire engine was visible.

I thought that maybe Oshkosh made this guy, but, it isnt listed on their web site. Maybe an older model. It looks just the trucks used here on post, only it isnt neon yellow/green. Anybody else? "Q"

The vehicle is known as the "Tactical Fire Fighting Truck." It is the Oshkosh truck with specialty equipment provided by Pierce Manufacturing and Detroit Diesel. It went into production in March of this year.

thanks guys. IIRC, Rob posted some pics of something bigger -- but similar -- last year. This would be a fun little kit and I'm sure Tuga would approve of it.
I find it sort of funny that unless someone makes a kit, I don't know the name....

That is an Ameritek fire engine made by Ontario, Canada.
