Hey guys,
Here's an update on the amphibious sherman. It Is three kits combined
A. The base kit- Tamiya M-4 Sherman early
B. Bogies- Tamiya M-3 Grant/Lee
C.Wading Trunks-Italeri USMC Sherman, with some scratch building to fit to an M-4, instead of the M-4A2
It is now awaiting weathering, once I order some pigments from somewhere
Here is the built/painted pics
will take some better pics later, these were hastilly shot last night

Nice kitbash. You go any pics of how you fit the rear root to the exhaust and the intake stack?

Lord Stomp
That is one great looking kitbashed tank The only thing is there is a gap where the 3 piece transmission cover meets to the front hull There is one major gap there
Plus on the metal portions of the tracks I personally use Raw Umber for that part It may be just me,but I think red or rust is a little to bright But that's just me (++) (++)

I'm just wondering why did you add the M3 suspension? By D-day "most " shermans had the later suspensions... Another little question this tank has been refitted with the extra armor on the turret and the hull sides ...why not the drivers and co drivers positions? The fuel spill looks red in the pictures ...and I agree tracks are too red . The pistol port should be blended into the turret more as this was part of the casting .... All in all it looks great and glad to see that with a bit of work these trunks can be added to the M4 ...Was it hard to get the back to fit..? Congrats on a great model.

I agree about the rust. It's too red. I just noticed the streaks from the gas caps. I originally thought they were red stripes on the side.

To counter the red paint, try adding brown (if they were pastels)

If you are too young and still live with parents, try naming it after your mom!!!
