Any interest in a Sherman Campaign?

Run time - October 1, 2004, to January 31st, 2005.

Subject - Any and all variants of the Sherman. If its a Sherman, or based on a Sherman chassis, its good to go.

No restrictions, anything goes, ie OOB, aftermarket, scratch, etc.

We'll keep it simple and fun

With that start date in mind, I might be tempted. Got a few shermie variants at home. You never know!
Im sure, with the upsurge in sherman interest recently, this should be a goer!
Maybe the end date could run to the end of febuary as other builds before struggled to get all finished in time because of the christmas holidays!
Good luck Steve!

I haven't built a Sherman since I had hair or teeth, think it might be a go for me, as long as I don't have to be an expert. Just please point me to a decent kit in 1/35, and it will be mostly out of the box.

is it my imagination, or did my award medal change it's looks??????

The M34 Recovery vehicle alright? That's the only Sherman based chassis we have in our LHS.

Let's see I'm in 3 campaigns already. I'm not yet a casualty in any of 'em.

Would the M3 Grant qualify? It sure looks like a Sherman to me.

See here

Except for the first box, I have them all. The only pic missing is the Jumbo Sherman. Though, all of them isn't that very accurate, they can be built with ease. In fact, you can finish it in a day! (Minus the fig work)

Frankly, that last statement frightens me!

Please take a little more time than that!

BTW, Steve, if the Campaign happens, I'm in.

Perhaps this campaign can be combined with the campaign Chad (aka GeneralZod) considered starting about unusual Shermans?

But ofcourse! Even if I build them OOB, I pay attention to the least of details. Believe me, one rubber track detailing costs me 6 hours of labor. :-) :-)

Sure, I have an interest.
But, with so many on my plate right now and this seeming inability to get anything finished on time, I can make no promises.

Good point Rob.

Zod's thread should have clicked with me before I posted this one, (guess I'm getting old).

I'll pm Chad and ask if he would consider grouping these two ideas into one. Thanks for the heads up.

Lord Kenworth Jr (tm) Like I said in the PM I think it's a great idea I was wondering if the M3 Lee/Grant series would also be included in that? I ask because that's what the Sherman lower hull, suspension and tracks were based off of originally

I am interested in this one, however with my other potential campaigns, I will have to wait a while to commit.

I haven't built a Sherman in years.....Since I build modern only I'll have to try an M51.
So, I'm in also.

So many campains, so little time. At least this'll start after Incoming! is done.

Ciao everyone,
I would love to be a part of this build. The only problem is that I am already committed to the Korea remembered campaign. Is there anyway that the drop-dead date could be extended some to accomodate my entry into this campaign? I don't build models in a day, you know.
Ciao for now
