Ok, here's what I've been up lately. This is the Tamiya 1/35 kit from 1975.

The turret comes out nicely

Dry-fitted the tracks and the bogies. Have problem with the fit of the bogies. Maybe I'll just sand them down a little.

Ok, I've been faced with a dilenma here. Need some help on attaching these parts on the main hull. Maybe modelers who've done this could teach me step by step

Ok, I've found this area a problem also. I think I wrongly attached the one with rivets to the 3 piece cast hull.

You got a good start going there Ralph... the parts that you are having trouble with are for the hull rear the one cut at an angle go just under the stowage boxes and form the back of the hull ...the other parts with the rivets is the extension where the exhausts are covered ..look on the sprue you should have a flat piece to go across the back...The front looks to be okay but I would have waited to glue the upper hull down at the same time as the transmission cover ...it would have been easier to adjust the fit .. One thing you really and I mean really do to this kit is change the tracks...The end connectors are not in the right place.
Keep us up to date !
I hope you figured out what I meant with the back end..

Shonen,
You realize that this kit is a real dog (reality wise.) I noticed that you kept the six-spoke wheels and I have heard that the turret is like 8-10 percent too small. I sure wish that they (whoever would produce it) would release a really good M3 Lee. Some day......
It sure does look nice, though. I bet it will turn into another work of art.
Ciao for now

Looking good so far, but are you going to replace the tracks? I mean, there's just one little error with those ancient Tamiya tracks. They have those end-connectors placed so that they wont't connect two track pieces together, like they do on real tracks. If those were real tracks, they would fall apart immediately!
It's of course ok to use them if you can live with them, just wanted to let you know.
