Hi Garry ..most of my techniques are done by hand except for the orginal painting , faded effects and the Tamiya buff color dust coat..The rest all done with a good old paint brush... Filters are done with a flat wide brush ...the rain strains are the same ..(tiny 000 brush for the little spots of oil paints but streaked with my good old flat brush ... Pigments were added using a bit of alcohol mixed in and dabbed onto the lower hull ..So Most of what I did explain can be done with out any use of an AB.

One comment about using pigments and alchohol, just for the faint of heart, is that initially they will want to refuse to mix...at least for me, but I use rubbing alchohol...eventually it all works out fine, so no fear.
Brain and Bear, great job on those builds...marvelous.
And Garry, a good airbrushed undercoat of "dust", if possible, is a good place to start weathering.
Probably best for me to sit down now...
