Hi...
just done this....
however I fear copyright issues.
It might be ok as the campaign would be celebration of Bill Mauldin and his work...but...
Has anyone any ideas
1. how to get round this potential problem?

2. Any other ideas...???

I could do a cartoon in the same as Bill's style...??

Thanks and Cheers
Peter

IDEA
To avoid any copyright issues...

We could use the Golden Pencil as an icon on the ribbon...

Views and comments please.

Cheers

Excellent Copyright should not be an issue if your acknowledge where the artwork came from. You are not attempting to steal someone's work for profit or gain. Maybe "In memory of Bill Mauldin" could be incorporated across the front of the ribbon or under it.

Personally I love it just as it is!!!

First of all, that is awesome! I agree with Neill, I doubt you would have any copyright problems as long as you credited with whom you got it from. Also, I think "In Memory of Bill Mauldin" would be a great idea, although, I don't know if one could read it when it shrinks. Otherwise, I love it and I love the ideas that have come from it. Thank you for doing this, even with a full plate. Thanks for your time and cooperation.

Thanks lads,
I will try to accommodate the In Memory line on the original ribbon...or...
I could just add "Bill" or 'Bill Mauldin"

I'll give it a try over lunch...stay posted

Hi again...
I've tried to simplify the text so it has a chance when at site size.
Thought "For Bill" was short and somehow apt.

Comments please

PERFECT!! Don't change it a bit! Thank you so much for doing this! (Savage: I take it you know a little bit about Mauldin and Patton's feud. ) Thanks for your time and cooperation!
