But I still wish Tamiya would do one instead of the Rumor of a Hummel early, another German One . Don't need another German vehicle

Truer words have yet to be said. Even a Tamiya one can be a mixed blessing though. See what they did when they reissued their T-34s? New turret, new box, same inaccurate hull, new figures, double the price.

I see in the Sept. 2002 issue of FSM that Zvezda is coming out with a T-34/85. I understand that Zvezda's T-34 hull is dead-on correct compared to Tamiya's T-34s. Anyone comment on that?

And to think I spent a small fortune back in the late 80s scarfing up all the Tamyia T-34/76 Model 1942 and 1943 kits I could get my hands on. They were OOP collector kits then. Now they are all over the place. Also got the SU-122 and SU-85 kits. One of these days I ought to just pull 'em all out and build 'em OOTB.

According to Steve Zaloga (I think that's who it was), the Zvezda T-34 hull is the most accurate hull on the market. It is even more accurate than the DML T-34/85, but from what I understand, not as easy to build. That being said, I've heard it said that Zvezda kits aren't that easy to build before and I would have to disagree (unless we're talking about their infamous T-60). I've built a few Zvezda kits and they've always built up fine; not as nice as Tamiya or DML, but fine none the less.
