nice looking tank you have there. My only nitpick is the dirt around the tracks looks like a half hearted job and shows as such!
other then that a nice job of drybrushing on the hull.

I could only see two pictures from the links.
Rear picture...(17751) big sink holes in the treads.
The red on the tail lights should be inthe upper recess only.
There's a mold parting line along the air intake hose, more prominent in the right side.
Front picture...(17750) consider rdrilling out the barrels of the .30's
Be careful when painting the headlights, some silver spilled over on the housing
The co-ax .30 and 37mm are not aligned. They should be both be aimed at the same spot.

looking good. Little shiny, but the weathering, especially faded paint on the rear panel is good. Keep it up.

Hi Paul
Photos don't always do a model justice. Are you using pastels or paint for weathering? Will we see this model at Ajax in October?

Thanks for the pointers guys. I will fix the angle of the guns. I can't drill out the mgs, don't have a drill fine enough.
Trackjam, No it won't be at Ajax, I am just not good enough for something like that.

Hey Paul,
For drilling out your MG's just use the tip of a new #11 blade and twist out just a small hole, don't go too overboard as a .30 barrel wouldn't have too much of a visible hole in it. I agree with the other Paul in saying that usually a picture doesn't do a model justice. I like it, keep up the good work and go to the model show. I went to MMM in Halifax a few years ago with an out of the box M-51 and won a bronze, that has really inspired me in my building. Have a good one.

I guess Ajax must be a show.
By all means, go. Enter the competition. Everyone's good enough to compete. Maybe there'll be better stuff on the table and you won't take any awards. This time. But treat it as a learning experience. Talk to other builders. We really love to talk about what we do. Offer to help the judges, even if it's only as On the Job Training or as an observer. You'll learn more from this experience on one afternoon than years of working on your own.

Howdy HastyP,
Overall I like your Stuart. She looks well built, and you've done a good job on her.
But, just a few 'nits' if that's alright?
I also saw the sink holes in the treads (kinda obvious, but easy to fix). I missed the seam line in the air intake hose though (good eye Al ).
My focus was more on the weathering. It looks a tad hastily (pardon the pun) applied. For example, the drybrushing on the shovel is applied up and down (as mounted on the tank) when it should be left to right (you have to think of the way the shovel is used). And the tip of the blade would have more wear than the top of the blade.
And on the drive sproket, the innner edges of the wheels teeth would have wear, not usually the entire tooth itself.
She looks good HastyP, just a few 'little things'........
