Hi there
I don't know if this stuff is new or not - I've never seen it before...
Today, I picked up some bottles of Xtracrylix - an acrylic paint from Hannants, who make Xtracolor enamels.
I haven't tried it yet, but it seems nice and thin (almost airbrush-ready) and apparently dries in 15 mins.
Have any of you tried the stuff? If it is new, I'll get cracking and do a full review this weekend.
All the best

I've tried the Xtracolour enamels...very thin pigment but good RLM colour match. Gloss finish.
It'll be interesting how your acrylics turn out.

Hi again
I've had a chance to test Xtracrylix now and they're very impressive. At the moment, they seem to be just RAF, US and Luftwaffe aircraft colours but, hopefully, the range will soon expand.
Check out the review.

Looks good, did I miss understand, you said they dry matt?
I always like the fact that the enamels dried gloss, one less coat to spray.

Hi Dave
No, you didn't mis-read - these are drying to a smooth matt finish, with an extra sheen appearing where I've sprayed more heavily. I didn't buy them, but part of the range are Matt, Satin and Gloss varnishes.

Hi again
Let me amend my last post slightly...
I've had a chance to use Xtracrylix a bit more now and found that, while the first sprayed coat dries to a silky finish as I stated, adding extra coats or a really heavy application is building up a gloss finish all ready for decals.
I'll add this to the review text.
