I use Filberts..... they are like a flat brush, but with a rounded edge.
At least that's what I think they are called.........LOL

I picked up a set of "DryBrush" brushes from MicroMark and they work very well..They sound like what Dave has ...the rounded soft edge. The set comes with 4 sizes.

Soft, red sable hair brushes. I have some cheap ones for general use and some more expensive artists brushes for figures and detail painting.

I don't use stiff brushes for much at all, except maybe adding texture to or painting groundwork.

Hi All,
I also have picked-up a set of "DryBrush" brushes from MicroMark, and I find them to work very well! Before I got them I couldn't dry brush a damn.
Now I do much better. It's also a plus to have the same style of brush in different widths as to not change your technic.
