That's wierd. I right clicked on the text box, got the properties, then pasted in the address bar. Went to the site and saw the picture: then when I came back to the thread page, the picture was on the original post. Anyway, that is an odd Kubel. Good luck on that build.

Very interesting, the Allies used to do a similar thing w/ their smaller (unarmored) vehicles. I saw a program yesterday where they were putting a M3/M5 Stuart (can't remember exactly) "mock-up" over a jeep or something similar....very cool!! Best of luck!

Francisco:
Would really like to check out this vehicle, but I can't see the picture nor does the URL which Matt gives above work. In which forum did you find the picture of the Kubelwagen?

Speaking of odd KW's in the game sudden strike there is a KW with MG turret. This turret did it really exist? as I have never seen a photo of it.

Evidentially this was a fairly common practice, I’ve seen pics of several vehicles done up to look like Armor; the “fear” of German armor would make it quite effective. I think it would make for a great model.
You know, what at first blush looks like a good idea, at second thought looks like a good way to get the stuffin’ bombed out of your Kubelwagen! :-)

I saw this in one of the galleries here on this site. And this would be an interesting build too.

Hi,
It's the inversion of the tactic that the british army had used when they disguise the tanks like lorries - british want to hide that they have a lot of tanks ready to battle, the germans want that they think that they have a lot of tanks ready.
As said in the caption it's a wood and canvas superstructure done on the field, so I think that artistic license here works fine and if it looks like the photo, the dimensions are not important, probably they will be something diferent between them.
If it helps I can give you the dimensions of the Panzer Ib that it's said to me the vehicle that they intend to represent.
