I have started the water :-) No pics of it yet but the first layer is poured. This is the other part of the ground work I have been working on. Please have a look and feel free to tell me what you think. All comments welcome!! Cheers Kevin

That ground work rivals the diorama Minenhunden over at Missing-lynx. Simply beautiful. Keep us posted.

I showed this to an officemate beside me. She doesn't indulge in this hobby.
She said the scene is so surreal....a war vehicle in a very tranquil place. She said the idea is very unique. She likes it.
And I like it very much too. Where did you get the flowers?

Well I am a little surprised to get responses like this. I thought it looked good but not as everyone has described. The "daisies" are Aber photoetch. This was my big surprise for the rest of the flowers. They are a lot of work but I feel well worth the effort. The other plant is mini GYP that is mixed in thruout the daisies. However all the ground cover has not been finished yet, just some touching up and adding a few things here and there. Patrick- I have to admit I saw the Minenhunden dio after I started on this. Per Olavs work inspired me to go further than my last dio. I am honored you compared my work to his. I hope I dont mess it up with the water, which has had the second pour of resin done to it tonight. Again thanks everyone for the comments. Cheers Kevin

I know that is may seem to be nitpicking, escpecialy as the work is of such high quality, but is it the perspective of the foto's or are the Daisies a bit on the large side? I'm not a botanist, and I can't remember the name, but I know there are flowers like that, that size. I think they might be called chrysanthiums. Sorry to turn this in to a gardening site . Other than that, really ecxelent stuff, cant wait to see the water and finished dio.
Cheers

Hellllooo Alan titchmarch or Henk to to the rest! :-) :-) :-) :-)
I have to agree with this. They are way to big for daisys! They should be more evenly spread out as well as they are wild .... not confind to one side of the dio!
Excellent work Kevin ... AGAIN. Unless you plan on a lot of work with the "daisies", it would be more realistic to thin them out a bit here and spread them more throughout the grass areas. Just my 2 pennies.
Also have to agree with statements on quality. Your landscaping is among the best Kevin.... Im sure Per Olof Lund would be flattered to have inspired this.

First I want to thank everyone for their comments!! I really appreciate them. Frank and Alan, I was going by a pic I have of a field of daisies and they were pretty crowded like this. The larger daisies are a touch big but there are so many small ones in the pack...I had originally thought to end the daisies where they are, but it doesnt look quite right so there will be a few more daisies. I will have some pics up soon of the water. The dio suffered a casuality today, when i was moving the table the legs caught and it slid off the back side of the table with allthe vehicles on it. Tonight I have been repairing the damamge to the vehicles, the bridge and one of the houses. Not to fear all is still well with it. Pics of water will maybe tomorrow.
Cheers Kevin
