Hi Guys
here are a couple of pics of my latest project..It's the Tiger 1 E/H1 by Italeri,I'm also using the Royal model update set,Airwaves Pe,a Jordi Rubio gun barrel and Academy Indy link tracks. So far I haven't used the tracks or the Airwaves set.
I was planning on painting the tiger green as in a Tunisian machine but I'm having difficulty finding pics etc or even if they were definitely painted green and if so what green.
Pete

Nice build so far. Following is a link that contains a photo of a tiger in Africa as well as some of the units that fought there. Good luck!

Looks like it is coming along quite well so far ...The green colored tigers in North Africa have been debated over and over ...I don't think we'll ever know for sure but no one can say you are wrong either...I have my own take on what that color might be ...(this is only my opinion and not to be taken as fact ...It may make a few others think about it though) What I think might have happened was that the tigers were originally grey and were quickly oversprayed with Ral 8020 which is a brown sand color ...The grey and the sand color might have given of a greenish tint because of the thin overcoat . Things that make you go HMMM!

Pete,
Your Tiger is coming along nicely.......as you no I am no Non-OD expert (let alone a OD expert) But it looks like it will turn out to be a great model. I can't wait to see it finished

I am working on this kit too but I'm going OOTB with Fruil tracks. So far I haven't done the tracks or the weathering
