My FAMO is getting more and more dirty as I add more washes and filters to it.
I think that Iäm done right now and I need your advice if I should stop now.
If you remember the last shots it was a bit on the yellow side but now I think it has improved alot. Se for your self and comments are welcome.
An overall shot that shows how it will look when assambled.
As I'm pretty satisfied now I will move on and start weathering the trailer.
Please note that the steering wheel is not in place and that there will be some figures added later. If I can cope I will add all the figures from the kit(seven). But please don't hold your breath as I'm not the fastest figure painter.
Cheers

Personally I think under the wheel arches and chassis are pretty much spot on.
If anything, I would say the sides of the vehicle could go even dirtier!...but then I do like the dirty used look.
I saw some film footage recently where these famo's were covered in muck and dust and only about 15% of the top of the vehicle was showing its colour.
If your happy with it as it is, then leave it, however, I would darken washes over the side pannels, to try and emphasise the details and pannel lines and mouldings....dirt and dust has a tendency to build up in corners.
The only other thing I would note is that the dirt on the wheels, and the wheels themselves look a little glossy?...but this could be the lighting or camera.
Hope this has helped a little.

I agree the bottom looks nicely dirty. I wouldn't add anything here. However, the upper half of the bed sides, the top of hte hood and the interior of the bed look much too cleanfor the bottom half of the vehicle. There should be more consistency, if the ground is that messy, the crew is bringing that into the crew area and tracking it in the cargo area.

Looks good !! The tracks should be the same color as the wheels ..they both went in the same dirt! I'd bring the dust up the sides more just using a very light fume of Tamiya buff and or deck tan ..Just to give that more dusty look... The back should be dusty and lots of stains on the floor ...Go For it ..These were work horses always in demand ..No time to clean up much!
Keep up the great work..
Rick
p.s. Throw more stuff in the back!

I agree with the previous posts-the undercarriage is perfect. A bit of dust on the side panels and the hood, some stains in the main compartment and some more dirt on the tracks and its perfect for me (note for me).
If you are happy with it then leave as is-after all-it is your rendition of the vehicle.

Not much I can add about the mud that has not already been pointed out. The texturing of your mud is very nice. Just bring the whole vehicle toghether with a mist of Buff or Tan and your'e away.
But what happend to your windscreen? It looks warped. Try replacing the glass with clear acetate (I hpoe I spelled that right) it's clear, thin plastic. Remember to glue clear plastic with white glue, not plastic glue.
You did a very good job on the chassis rails, pity all that fine detail will be covered by the wheels.
Cheers

I really love that wet mud look you have acheived on the running gear. I can almost feel the dread of having to clean it off.

same as posted above, although i noticed something that others did not see, the front tires should be weathered the same as the rest. looks like there pretty clean
but great job, i would love to build this kit, too expensive for me though
