Question does the lower hull from the AFV club M-41 fit the upper hull from the M-42 Duster Tamiya one. Tomorrow I will know cause I am getting the M-41 from AFV club just thought somebody here might know in advance.

I don't know the answer, but you and I think alike. When in doubt, buy the kit.
Gee,I love this hobby.

Check out Cookie Sewell's review, he mentions the drive layout is reversed for an M42.

Thank you for the heads up on this Rob. There is a bunch of cutting to be done to get the parts to even fit on the M-41 this is why I am going to get the kit so I won't have to do all this cutting. You know to make a suspension look at little better I might just see if the wheels fit or get them to fit as most of the parts are hidden behind them anyway. Darn thing didn't have that u shaped hull would of been easy to do. Tell you the addon is not for newbies

They are indeed - which negates the need to wrestle with the Tamiya kit - unless you enjoy that kind of abuse...

Hi,
I saw the AFV Club new kit of M41, and I was surprised to see that its the exactly version used by the Brazilian Army in the 60īs, 70īs and 80īs(with some upgrade!).
I just have to buy one, as soon as I can find some space on my shelves of unbuilt kits to put it on.... :-)
Cheers

I also saw the new AFV M 41 kit. Looks great, and can only be a smashing kit to build considering who made it. Just one problem for me though. I find it difficult to shell out 35 shekels for an M 41!......sorry, just me I guess.
I don't doubt for an instant that the kit is worth it to those 'Bulldog' enthusiast's.

Tread.

...Now, the 'Duster' on the other hand....

Okay the upper Tamiya M-42 {Duster} will fit the AFV club lower hull with just a tad of work but a lot easier then cutting all those parts off the Tamiya lower hull to replace suspension. have not checked height as compared, but parts do match up fact looks a lttle like the Tamiya hull minus the road wheel arms. I guess they just replaced the arms and wheels. Okay but the bad thing is it worth to get another kit just for the lower hull. Okay here goes the left over upper parts should fit the Tamiya kit so you could use the upper part and put that on the Tamiya kit and make an M-41 with it.
Majke sense #:-)

I have been corrected. It is indeed Skybow who will release an M42A1 Duster.
