This is the Tamiya T-55 with the CMK Driver's Training turret. I have applied a black wash (perhaps too much) and plan to further weather with pastels.

Now that's something really different! Very nice MSgt!!
I don't think that it is too dark...add some lighter drybrushing in there and this thing will really come to life!
First time that I've seen this conversion and I think that it's really cool! Great subject matter!

One minor item I spot is the roundel. I've been told by a Czech officer that the blue always points forward.
Is that just the case for armor/army vehicles? I don't mean to contradict you as you have infinite more knowledge than me. Also, upon research, I have noticed that all the ground vehicles do have their blue third facing forward. Hoever, I'm not always seeing this on aircraft. Could someone explain that to me?
(given that this is a piece of artwork and may not be entirely accurate)

"Chief"
Outstanding job and as others have said, a great change of pace subject. I don't think it is too dark either. Maybe a display with "Instructor" talking to/critiquing student? I just wish my car looked that good after son's "driver training".

I was just looking at that conversion a few days ago. Looks great, but it's too monotonous for me: maybe some fading or chipping?

Thanks for the clarification Robin. I hadn't taken into consideration the governmental changes.

Hi guys,
Thanks for the comments.
The tracks were painted a meduim gray the treated with Rustall. I still need to drybrush with steel.
This conversion kit also has the parts to do a "haulage vehicle" which is just a resin and pe cover for the turret opening.
The grab handles and brush guards are from wire.
Rob You are right about the national insignia. I went back to the kit instructions and box art and checked. When I applied the decals I checked, double checked, and then applied them in the incorrect orintation. I could find no pics of this vehicle so I kind of made up what I thought would look ok. I used the smallest numbers (in size) on the kit decal sheet.
Thanks again guys.
Chuck
