Hey Matt,

Simple answer: I engrave them with hobby knife, dental tools and a fine jewelry burnisher I got at a jewelry/Rock Store. The artilce I wrote a while back, Basic Construct of a wall. - "Hunter or Hunted" ... , will give you details and shows a picture of my main tool - the burnisher.

Good Luck,

John

Matt,

A while back i made a complete village section including the road from Styrodur insulation foam.

RAF-Mad - to figure that out simply measure your wall in 1:1 and convert to 1:72. I would say a brick wall is easily 10 inches thick and in 1:72 thats .14
12" = .17

thnx guys for all your help, regarding that custom walls technique, i have already tried it, and i loved it, but i dont understand how you guys can just carve these things out, for example, in nexys dio, how would you do the frame/brick work tha go around the windows and door. its things like that i need to do for my sherman dio.

thnx again

first of all i make mod from carton, around the windows and door on base i glue carton 1.0 mm and i get different level , all that in frame, all are airbrush which gloss color to make easy separating mod from plaster, mod is for one use only . if you want some pic of progres send me pm.
