Hi Peter,
Difficult to judge from these pictures, try to post some close ups. From these pic's I would say that the muzzle brake is to black. The muzzle would have perhaps some sooth and discoluration, but not to this extend. You also seem to have left the hingeing sideparts of the front mudguards off . And the exhaust guards look square. It have not seen those square before. Did they come with the kit and is there any photographic to back this up?
Other than that it looks good, and don't forget to post the result of the weathering.
Cheers
Henk

My apologies for the pics, unfortunately my digicam won't focus closer than 2' (60cm).
The hinging parts of the front mudguards weren't in the kit and from most of the pics I've seen of Tunisian Tigers some never had them.
The square exhaust guards were a field mod done by the 501st Heavy Tank Battalions 1st company in Tunisia and were part of the Airwaves Pe detail set.
I don't think that's a tunisian Pic but at least it shows the square exhaust guards.
I'll have another go at the gun muzzle sometime.

Hi Peter, Karl,
That's what I like about this site, you learn something new everyday. I knew that the mudguard parts were not always there, not least as they were easily damaged. Just that Peter's model looks fairly 'new' and clean, I just wondered. As for the exhaust guards, Inever noticed that before . Thanks for the picture Karl.
Oh by the way Peter, does your camera have a 'macro' setting or feature? That's for close up's. It's usualy a picture of a flower by a switch (on the camera or in the menu)
Cheers

Hey Peter ..I've been folowing along with your build ..Nice job so far ..A few things that you notice alot in pictures of the 501st tanks is damage to the road wheels ...I can,t tell if you have done this but the rocky terain was terrible to the rubber and you can really gouge at them with an exacto.. Second and this is not just you but alot of modellers do it ...There is no way in the world that a tank commander would ever let his gun be that dirty...By the time of WWII the shells were not using black powder and did not turn the barrel end black...You can darken the paint all over the barrel compared to the rest of the tank because of the heat but not black...If you must, try using black pastels and lightly put some on but the color should still be seen through it .
