Bryan,
Thanks! Yeah I am getting carried away and changing other aspects than the theme stuff.

This may take me longer than I thought though as I am trying to add some content here and there so as to not get even more buried with additions.

Yep, there are some changes since the last time I was here... Good work Jim, I like the forum icons, too. I noticed a new smiley, too, but I don't know when to use a smiley who is banging his head

Didn't we used to have a theme option? Or have I been asleep at the wheel?

Hi ArmyFireman,

You must have the image on a server that allows direct link to images. Then on your signature you can put the complete URL of the image, using the [img] button available.

If I havn't been clear ennough try this thread:

Problem with images

Rob,
The theme selection is disabled while I finish working on all the "new" themes.

Should be back up soon. How's Ft. Lee?

Cheers,

It's OK, hot and a whole lot of trainees. I was in the clothing sales store when there was a bus load of trainees arriving for a PX trip. Those trainees tried to avoid me like the plague, sometimes tripping over one another to not be in the same aisle. Only one soldier stopped and talked to me about his going to jump school and asking for my secret to spit shining my boots (Kiwi and water). I felt sorry for them and walked out and talked to the drill instructors to find out when they were leaving so they could shop in peace.

Any way, I found two hobby shops, Walt's in Petersburg and Chesterfield Hobbies in Midlothian. Walt's had only about 20 models, about 5 of which were armor. Chesterfield's had a moderate overall selection and looks to be a good hobby shop. Not a whole lot of armor, they did have the new Tamiya Pershing, a DML T26E3 Pershing, AFV Club M41A3, an many of the latest kits, but not a whole lot of aftermarket or armor kits in general.

Beto, I've been away on vacation for the last three weeks. Now that I'm back on Armorama there are so many new things that I feel a bit lost. I have so much to catch up...

Lol...thanks guys but as Bryan would likely attest, you ain't seen nuttin yet.

He's testing the theme for me while I work out all the bugs.

Rob - Somewhere on the northwest side of town is John Robinson's (?) store. I bet it's got more selection. Ron should be able to tell you where to go. Ron??

Rob and Jim,
It seems the hobby shops in the Richmond area are mostly R/C planes and cars, with model railroading and finally platic bulders. Although each shop does have a selection of armor. I usually get most of my aftermarket stuff at shows.
Most of the armor builders do shop at Chesterfield Hobbies, that is why Rob found the new releases. Chesterfield Hobbies did have 3 Academy Honeys. But they got snapped up.

Ron,
Dang...sounds like my own little "Lightship Hobbies" is a pretty good shop then as he stocks about 100 Armor/AFV kits generally.

You are right, Jim. About once a year, a group from Richmond takes a road trip over to Lightship and up to Granddad's in northern Virginia.

I like Chesterfield Hobbies as well. Every time I go back home to see my family, I have to go there and pick up a new kit..... #:-) I may start ordering fom them online.....
