Hi all i just finished building my alan grille ,
i had to replace all of the rivetts ,as to me they were just too small ,and lost quite a few with fitting problems.
I also found a tamiya marder 3 /m on e-bay for £2.00 .
It was part built and really badly put together ,but the upshot is ,it it even included some aber etch! just what I needed!
so i kit bashed it in a small way , and added Modelkasten drive sprokets and idler wheels ,plusTMD's sig33 and interior upgrade.
it helped a lot I think! I now have a pretty nice grille /m to more or less tamiya standards ,
hope you like it! pictures of the paint job comming soon!

nice details, love the work. the clorox is applied well except that it looks a bit too regular on the wheels.

thanks guys! paint is comming tomorrow!
Ian the white is vallejo plastic putty
it gives a nice gritty texture when it dries
though i think i'll have to try baking soda sound like a neat trick
thanks too spectre yeah i cottoned on to the regular looking mud on the wheels its a little different now and less thick , but it does look very "planned"
:-) on the photos , thanks
shain it as quite a project :-) the build and detailing took 5 days, working almost full days sometimes from 10 am till 11 pm
but when i get a need to build i do it! :-) thanks very much everyone

Thats looking real good. It will look even better with some paint on it. I have the old DML Grille on the 38t hull. One of these days I hope to finish it.

Fantastic work on that difficult Alan Hobby Grille Ausf M kit. Nice super detailing ! I love the "pre-weathering" technique you have there too.

Are you using a crew for this Grille ?

Cheers !!

iwant to use mostly figures in s.s. smocks too since these vehicleswere mostly used by line infantry artillery detatchments . so red waffenfarbe piping
and infantry kit! i plan on putting some foliage though the cord that will be attatched to the eyeletts too and placing it in a static gun emplacement ,thanks for the comments

Steeldog51 -

What sweet piece of detailing!!! Outstanding job. Almost a shame to hide any of it under the painting and weathering, but can hardly wait to see the product. Hoping to get to this level of detailing someday and thnks for a great inspiration. I love the "Hetzer" and I'm thinking of doing one as another new project. Can you recommend a kit? Thanks and keep them pics coming,

thanks Blade thats very much appreciated !
a hetzer eh? one of my favourites! i really like the drogon kits
any of the variants are good and they really only need some nice tracks to really make them good but quite outsatnding kits straight from the box i have built 5 dragon hetzers of the years and never had any fit problems personally, you'll enjoy it! good luck mat e!!!

Nice looking Grille you have going there. I love seeing the before shots that really bring out the work done bring a not-so-good kit up to show quality. When the paint goes on, it's like icing on a very tasty cake... can't wait to see more!
