Hi,

Just build this Landrover for a friend his birthday.

The sign on the hood is a Dutch sign for sale.

It was a quick and fun build :-)

Great stuff!
If it was a real one I would buy it
I love landrovers.
There is a British(biased, I know) motoring program that voted Landrover the greatest car ever. The statistic that swung the vote was that somewhere in the region of 75% of all the landrovers ever built are still in use today. The presenters of the show then attempted to place a large model of one on a plinth in Trafalgar Square, London. Alas, the police intervened.

That's a Great idea I love it.
Two comments
I would tone down the brightness of the tarp a bit. It really jumps out at you in the overhead shots.
I would add a spot or two of rust here and there to accentuate the age of the rover.

I love the weathering on the right side of it.

Howdy Ronald,

Nice little build there mate. She look's like she should be listed in the 'Want-Ad's'.
I've now seen two of your builds, and they both look good. Your Jagdtiger was a dandy, and now your Rover.......apparently you've gotten a handle on weathering.......

Tread.

Oh, and your 'rainstreaking' is nicely done.......although, to now balance the 'butter', I have to agree with slodder once again (I keep doing this...) the tarp is the weakest ingredient. Tone it down a tad, and it will meld better.......just MHO.
And, a follow-up..........why is it red? Is red a common colour for tarps in Europe?

Now that's a really cute idea. Looks nice.
Interesting, I never knew they were mostly aluminum. Hopefully I remember that if and when I do a Landrover.

The use of aluminium in the landrover came, initially, from surplus stocks of Aluminium left over from the second world war. As were aluminum houses!?! The first landrovers were built around 1948 I think. The use of Aluminium and a good 'proper' chassis that tolerates repair after repair is the reason they last so long, and are still built that way.

First thank you all for the comments.

The tarp is orange but on the picture`s its turning out red.

The pictures are taken with a new camara and must learn some things for operate the camera better than now.
