Marty,
That dio looks really neat, but I think Acav has a point there.
I look forward to your pics of the end result !

Acav,
Normally I would agree with you regarding the grass growth and the positioning. In this case however, I am trying to show an abandoned German defensive position. As you can probably imagine the field directly in front of the bunker and the trench would be packed with mines, thus there would be no pathways made by soldiers walking around (unless they had a death wish). Areas that are mostly bare of grass (around the dragon's teeth and barbed wire posts) are due to the fact that earth in those spots has been dug up and then packed back down. This dio still needs a lot of work i.e. the build up of vegetations (bushes are ready to go in) so I can definitely appreciate your comments.

As a hunter, I have "noticed" that deer tend to stay off of old logging roads and, travel a few feet inside of the tree line. So, naturally I walk down the SIDE not the middle, of the roads when hunting. I know you're asking how this relates.......aproaching a abandoned bunke w/ mines in the area I'd tend to stay As Close As Possible to the Dragons Teeth. 'Cause I don't want to step on a mine........
Some people tend to have a difficult time envisionigg certain things........ So they Sketch.... Mockup.... Etc..... to help themselves out. I like the idea too.
