A friend of mine want's to convert a 5 ton truck into the Navy CB's maintenance truck he operated on when he was in the service. He said it was a truck in the late 60's through the 70's era.
My question is , is there a kit of a 5 ton truck from this era to be had ? He has enough modeling skills to alter if need be.

In the time era stated it would have been one of the M-54 series trucks. There is no kit being made of this series. I wish there were. You can convert the M-35 series kit by AFV club to the five ton configuration with the help of the Italeri M925 series kit. It will take some work but can be very rewarding.
