Here is a couple of photos of two projects that I am working on. the first one is the M572 A2 Pole Truck based on the AFV Club 2 1/2 ton kit with scratch built cargo bed and winch system. I used Evergreen plastic stock, brass strips and chain. The second one is the Chinese 50 Ton Tank Transporter by Trumpeter. It being built straight out of the box. I have a long way to go on both.

Howdy Dave,

Mighty nice to see you posting pics of your work again. Thought you'd buggered out on us for some well-deserved R&R in Tahiti or somethin'.......but I guess the draw of our pretty faces was just too much for ya.

Your Pole Truck is really nice, and an even better use of a standard kit. Good on ya. But, it just screams out to be put in a wee vignette...

The Tank Transporter is nicely done as well. But isn't it missing those rather gaudy 'vogue' style tyres??......

Good work animal.

Tread.

Thanks everyone. I have to admit that I was in a slump for quite a while. These are the first two models I have been working on since July. I got myself in a funk of sorts for a while. But I seem to have a grasp of it now.I have been keeping my eye on the site all along and have to admit that there are a lot of new members here that do some very outstanding work.

You know, Tahiti sounds like a beautiful place to bug out to. But I guess you caught me hey Mate. No one can stay away from this place with all your faces to be seen!! :-)

Dave,
Great trucks. How did the Tank Transporter go together? I am looking at getting one of these myself.

Hi Gino, The transporter goes together very nicely. I can't say that I had any problem with it with the exception of the tubing that is supplied with the kit for the air and hydraulic lines. I think that they are too thick. This is the only Item that I replaced with my own stock. As with most Trumpeter kits the instructions are vague in some areas. I suggest studying them before hand to make sure you can understand them. All and all it is a great kit with a lot of detail. I say go for it Gino, you are going to like it.
