Andy007 -
Looking great. Those little extras really add to the whole scene. Well done, a simple and straight forward diorama that is very effectively presented!

Thought the same thing myself --- this is good stuff Lord Kiwi. Nail the fig painting and this one is a winner. Very fine effort here.

I like the mud and the snow, with some gloss the should really merge together. Just one thing, the front figure is walking in the middle of the path.. I know it's nit picking, but I don't think he would be walking in fresh snow if there is a wheel track in which there would not be a mine. Mines being a big problem in Western Europe as the retreating Germans sowed them like corn. Normally all troops would follow in one or two files 'in each others footsteps'. Enough of the soapbox, let's get back to the glue..
Cheers

Henk,
Don't worry that is a very good point I did not even think about that. Thank you for pointing it out.

Gunther: The snow is made with BAking powder sieved on and set with hairspray and white glue/water mix sprayed on.
Rob: The mud is made with real dirt and once a again sieved on and set with white glue/water mix again.
Just remember to to give the dirt One minute in the microwave to kill all the bugs and bateria in it.
