Well I need to get a fine tipped black ink pen to paint some details on a couple of figures. I found out that not every pens are good as the black paint isnt always that black nor is it matt finished, it usually gives some "goldish" tones.. I wanted to paint the rank and unit insignia on the arms of my 72nd german infantry but the pen is also very usefull to paint my cockpit cranks and nobs..
What kind of pen do you use?
Thanx in advance!

I have an assortment of pens on hand. Gell pens- in a few differnt collors, white & black used most. Silver pen- the kind you shake and push the tip down, they make it great for touch ups and it looks like chrome. That's the one i use the most.

I use Pigma Microns......
They are from the art store, and come in sizes down to a .005 mm tip, in various colors. They do dry with a slight sheen, but that's acceptable for plastic knobs, if needed flat, then a flat coat afterwards does the trick.

I use a black Pigma Micron 005 too, though I wish it was a dark gray instead. It looks OK after weathering though.
