I already started on of my two tractor trailer trucks. The Volvo F12 is about completed. The other kit I will start after I move (will be without model building right after Christmas until late January). That one will be a Soviet fueler. Both in 1/72 scale.

Dave:
With your permission & that of Cliff/MrRoo (for MoveIt!), I'd like to drop out of "Move It!" & transfer my project to "Heavy Haulers".
My project was the Tamiya DW hauling an LCM, but once I figured out how off the Trumpeter LCM hull was, I got sidetracked. Right now my DW stands at about one-half percent complete -- I've added brake mechanisms to the trailer wheels and done some work adding brake lines to the trailer and opening up one side of the storage boxes, but that is it. It's almost a clean start.
Anyway, Cliff also knows I've been focused on another project right now ....
The timeframe for "Heavy Haulers" is a bit better for me.
I won't sign up till I hear from you.
Thanks,
John

I too am eager to start and with the end of the semester coming, it means more modeling time. No promises yet, but I also hope to build a Super HET in the braille scale as well as the M983 HEMTT w/ Patriot in 1:35. Hopefully I will start soon, just need resin casting supplies from Walthers, PE making kit from Radio Shack, and the HEMTT of course.

Would this one qualify,I just recently finished it.
I don`t plan on doing anything this big in the forseeable future, nowhere to store anything this big again in my apt.

First off let me say that this is a beautiful example to the old Dragon Wagon. You did a superb job in building and finishing it.
Sorry sas but the model should be built during the campaign. The concept of a campaign is a group build with progress shots and a journal of the building progress.

SAS,
Dragon Wagon looks good, however, it will not support an M26E1 Super Pershing. As you can see at the trailer wheels, it is too narrow and the wheels would be torn up by the track. The M26/M46 Pershings had to be trasported by other means , ie. rail in WWII. By The Korean war era, the M15 trailer was upgraded to hold the load, up to 60 tons, widened, and had ramps added to allow the wider tanks to go over the wheels without damaging them. Here is the M15A1 trailer, in Vietnam, but the same trailer as in Korean war.
And mated to M123A1C tractor w/ M42 Duster loaded.
Sorry for the bad news, it still looks great though, just not totally accurate.

Dave:
No problem, it is buried under another project right now.
And since kids are here 23-29 for holidays, it won't start till after ... orders from HH6.
Thanks,
John

Hi Heavyarty,
I did alot of info searches online,in books and with other builders and weighing in the fact that this Superpershing was one of two field modifications, logicaly I assumed they would not have a factory trailer to support the weight yet so would have shored up an existing trailer just to get the thing into combat. The trailer wheel configuration could be widened to acommodate most of the stance of the pershing and since the tracks of a Panther were nothing to be laughed at and were successfully hauled up on deck, why not the Spershing. I think the key word here is hauled, not driven. This tank was a rush job also I don`t think the front lines were too far away. Just some of the logic I contended with upon putting this dio together. Oh,by the way,an excellent build on your Nam hauler, wonderful work!

Thanks Dave,
Im sure ill need some help along the way, as this is my first "major" scratchbuild.
Only done little things here and there before. But i think 5 months should give me plenty of time with school and everything.
