Yes, what kind of fence?

Balsa wood is easy to whittle into a post and rail or picket type.

Thanks,

Check this forum. There's a post about scale link fences, and info about concertinas and barbed wire too.

Here's the barbed wire link and this is the chain link. For concertinas there's an article in the Features (see left column).
Enjoy !

Great diagram Toni, why don't you write a small article about it? One pic is clearly worth thousand words...

Thanks Failure and Maki! :-)
I feel stupid to put up this kind of "instructions" as I had the idea and tip from other people...Yeah I know it doesnŽt matter but I still feel like I couldnŽt have much to say as I just started this hobby again and all the things that I do I do it the first time!
But there are some things that worked big time...maybe it would be wise to put up a "diamond" or two, so they could be easilly found and stored. So many tips get lost in the great amount of posts...
IŽll try to produce a better picture of that wire and maybe the toothpick-metal wire-kitchen plastic tent would qualify also...

Thanks,
Toni

When you say "fence" what kind to you mean? Take a look at my diorama in the "Hall of Fame" called "ORDERS '44". I used some ho scale white picket fence plastic pieces to create a partial fence sitting on a stone base ringing around the "park". Or - if you are looking for a full wooden fence, here is a FREEBIE... go into Starbucks (yes, THAT Starbucks!) and get a handful of their wooden "stir sticks"... drop a buck in the tip jar to say thanks. The wood is just perfect scale thickness for a typical "Batten Board" retaining fence. Go look in your backuyard and see how to lay it out. I have used this resource many many times... kinda makes the $4.00 cup of coffee a little more economical!

I ment the type of fence that would be on a farm like a post fence wooden of course
i was going to wrap barbed wire in front of it and make the area seem like it was double enforced.
I also need to see how to make a centry post and a gate on a rual road heck i can't figure out the road
any advice would help
thanks

Armand Bayardi makes a good picket fence adaptable t0 1/35. If the fence you're envisioning is flat boards in posts, the suggeston about coffee stirrers is good with balsa/basswood uprights. Italerie (Sometimes Testors) has a sentry box. I don't know if it's in current release but you should be able to find it on-line or in a well stocked hobby store.

The posts are 5mm square balsa and the boards are stirring spoons halved to get uneven edges and narrow them down. Spoons are courtesy of Mc Donalds. I used the the same for the roofing. E-mail me if you need more info.
