Hi All'
At the begining of December, Ptruhe posted a pic of 3 M113s in Iraq. One of them mounted a SAW M249 instead of a .50.
Would anyone know how this was fixed at the pintle and if it would have spade grips or standard butt attached. I'm thinking of building an Academy M113 and thought including this would make it a little different. Any pics would be splendid.
thanks in advance
Tom

The military uses a multi-weapon mounting system on their vehicles in some units. It is called the MK. 64. If I am remembering correctly it comes in 9 different configurations referred to as "Mods".
For example, I have a MK. 64 Mod. 3 mount for my unit. On this mount I can use the MK. 19 AGL or the M2 .50 cal.
You add or subtract components based on what weapon system you are using.
