In a recent PM with Blockhaus, we were both talking about one of the major problems with the construction of buildings - good references.
As a small step towards this, I have just taken some photos (and uploaded them to the site) . The subject of the photos is building details - doors, balconies windows, steps etc. in fact all those little details that help one give the building a little more realism....
Now,I don't live in France, Holland or Germany, however many of the details of the buildings here are pretty universal to France or Spain. Here there are a lot of balconies for example and the style of doors is quite similar.
I'm also trying to get as many photographs of 'wear and tear' on buildings - weathering on paintwork etc...
The Gallery Space can be found: Here..
I hope you'll help by uploading your images and we can create yet another of these useful resources...Thanks Jim
And as a 'taster' here are a couple of the images:

Good Idea Jim, it's sometime hard for us not in Europe to model European buildings and styling, without photos, since our building techniques and styling this side of the pond are a little different. If I recall.... Roadkill has some good building shots in his gallery.... Roads and cobblestones, and rock walls would be great also. WWII and before types of construction. Heck if I recall from my last visit to Europe.... even the sewers covers differed from the US type..... (Navy ya know.... laid in the gutter a few times........ :-) :-) :-) :-) )

Thanks Carlos - these are truly impressive! I'm putting them into the gallery now.
For everyone else, I've set up the gallery so ANYONE can post images directly to it...
Looking forward to seeing your images, Jim

I found this image amusing:
It doesn't look like any bar I ever have been to in "America."
Back on topic, I have some images of a burnt church ruin -- would this be suitable for this gallery?

Bob, absolutely - that is the kind of thing which is so useful, brilliant!
Well an 'American Bar' ? How can I put this in a manner in case there are young people present? Imagine it had 'Bada Bing' instead of American Bar - you get the idea? Jim

Jim,
Here is the link to my space: https://armorama.kitmaker.net/photos/showgallery.php?cat=625&password=
Would it not be better to combine these 2 gallery's?

Ronny, i'm sorry -I never realised that you had already done this... Combine them? As lomg as they're on the site it seems dumb to have two seperate sections... Cheers, Jim
By combining I mean transferring all the pics to the galleries you set up...

It`s a fantastic idea, one archive well worth adding to.
I just uploaded a whole personal gallery full of building shots if someone would like to have a look at them and if deemed suitable would it be possible to get them moved.I started out by trying to upload directly to the buildings archive but they all went to my gallery so deleted everything that was in there and continued on with the upload.I have quit a few more if this stuff is ok.
Thanks.
