I have a few pictures of an SF Humvee in my gallery. I took the photos during OIF 1 in Al-Kut.

Ollie, one thing that you should be aware of, is that U.S. Special forces are opting more and more for the LandRover. Certainly (at least in the Rangers) it has become fairly prevalent. Exactly why tis should be the case, I'm not entirely sure...Jim

You could also try this: www.militaryphotos.net. Check in the Gulf War II and OEF sections under special forces and there are tons of spec ops humvees. Hope this helps.

What I have found is no single standard SF HMMWV configuration, however they have many similarities. I have found in many that they are open or canvas covered "soft top" M998/1038 (difference solely being no winch/winch respectively) with wooden side slats installed. Many have smoke dischargers, and many, M1025/1026 weapons carrier or not, are armed with MGs, usually between something light like a SAW or M240 Bravo to an M2. You will also find lots of radio equipment, mainly SATCOMs and long range radios.
I love the Abrams in the background. As if SF guys didn't have enough firepower. So much for a stealthy recon (also not good given the guy standing on the hood). That could be a good "caption this" photo.
