Hello everyone, here are some pictures of my Karl that I started this weekend. I began with the mortar and carriage assembly. I am building Number VI "Ziu, the Gerät 040 version with 600mm barrel.
The only disappointment so far with the kit is some sink marks in the barrel riffling insert.

Hi, Great work there! Looks very good. This kit is so much better than the Dragon one, so much more detail to every aspect of it. Not cheap but I think you get what you pay for.

Sgirty is right, the Trumpeter kit looks so much better than the Dragon kit that I have. The trumpeter kit appears to have much finer rivet/bolt detail for example.
As far as the rifling goes, you could fill it with putty and rescribe the grooves. It wouldn't look perfect but it wouldn't be as noticeable as the existing sink marks.
I can't wait to see your finished model.
