Any news on the approval? Want to order some new models soon.....and the more models, the less shipping/send costs! So if this campaign is approved. I can order the models for this campaign too!

Those are some rather tough criteria that you have to model liberation in the country you live. I'm not sure that they all fall within that +- 7 days of VE day. I mean if you live in France you would be messed up because France was liberated 1944.

Couple of points here...
1) Is this an 'official' campaign? I'm only asking as if people are getting signed up for it and then it collapses...
2) Personally I'd take a look at the 'criteria' of the campaign, you could easily get boxed in by too much detail...
I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here, but the Campaign structure is quite complex...Jim

Yeah well that's the same problem I have.....in May 1945, most of Holland was already liberated. The interesting actions all took place before march/april 1945, and most of them took place in 1944.
So in 1944, some parts of Holland were already celebrating the liberation, and some weren't.
Personally, I'd like the subject to be the liberation itself, so not only may 1945 but also liberation celebrations that took place around march 1945 (for instance)

Hey, no offence take, at all!
I really started out on the Danish section, that we wanted to celebrate the liberation, but we are open to suggestions about altering the timeframe of the build.
But we would still like you to make someting representing the builders home country - teach us something !

I will :-)
It's just that the subject date (may '45) may be a bottleneck...

Maybe it should be possible for a frenchman or a dutchman to model something from the time they were liberated???

That's what I was hoping for.....cause in that case, I can still build something with this guideline:

We would like you to make a scene that captures the feelings around VE-Day - relief, joy, despair etc. - meaning that a sole vehicle on a plate, just won't do it unless it's crowded with celebrating civilians or german POW´s - if you get the point ;-)
Anyway, the campaign is being approved! That's good news, I really like the subject of this campaign!

If you see the campain directions i hope GunTruck will help us change the timespan concerning the motive to something like: "....vehicles representing the days of liberation and surrender of the Axis forces in Europe culminating in May 1945".
So ... Go go go.
Ribbon and banner is on the way thanks to Clausens creative talents!
