Rus Sharp (SAS) makes a quick start in 2005. Russ submitted another series of high quality dioramas. Here''s the first of the new series : "Lost in the Bavarias" ; An early winter scene with a little gothic theme.

Enjoy !!

Another example of the attention to detail that I've come to love in Russ's work over the years that I've known him.

Andy - like me Russ can kick in quite a few hours work in a day, and then not do anything for a bit, then get back into top gear again! Seems as if it's a never ending stream of these dios, but there are a few gaps - he does eat occasionally!

Great work ... again Russ! I love the really worn tarps .. they really look like they´ve taken a serious beating. nice texture also. What have you used for this??
I dont think you´ll hear any complaints about knocking dios of this quality out! Nice one!!

Thanks very much for your kind comments,I appreciate
them all. Why do I have so many dios to share with you all, well because of medical circimstances I now have all the time in the world to build and I`m having a blast.
Granted some of the pieces were built quite a few years ago and yes some are not as acurate as they should be but I`m havin fun, hell at 52yrs of age with poor eyesight I better be havin fun. My newest Canadian Truck dio is almost complete so it`s on with the next idea!
Oh yea,the tarps,I just made them out of tissue, proably should have used something a little thicker as standard tissue disolves in water so you might want to keep that in mind.
cheers
A little PS for interest sake, most of my ideas come from period photos from the net,I don`t own any reference books at all,so I either see it or I use logic.
