Yeah, I like seeing who's on too! But I could live without it if it was the source of our downtime the last couple of weeks. Gives me the shudders just thinking about it!

I have made certain changes to the database, server config files, and added PHP Accelerator back to our Web server. So hopefully this will help the issues we were having.
If not it will have to be modified (the Front Gate) further.

Good to see the 'Front Gate' back, so long as that's not why it takes 3-4 minutes to load a page even on broadband.

I agree Dave so 2 Dave's agree, if I have the front gate ... fine, if I don't ... fine too.
I just think it's neat how we joined at the exact same time of day 00:00:00 LOL .... what are the odds?

I think it's a combination of factors really. The Front Gate with a lot of users on is a problem. Heavy usage on the gallery or people actually DOWNLOADING the site to a local PC is another potential problem. And also displaying images from our gallery on other sites is a potential issue (which I think I have now turned off).
I will have to try to figure out some other way of doing it I guess (the Front Gate).

Greetings, Jim, I just had to pipe in and give my two cents worth on the matter...First and foremost, thank you for trying to help work out the bugs of lately, gotta be a major buttcramp to do so, and I agree with the others that it IS nice to see who's on slate here, BUT, if it means snail pace at the site I personally would rather do without the front gate....I would much rather be able to navigate quickly through the Big A's pages...
Sincerely
Gunny
