Terry Ashley over at P.M.M.S. has added a highly useful article comparing the various options available for 251 kits in 1/35th scale. As this is a subject which has caused more than a few headaches it is worth careful reading... The article can be seen: HERE..

The article Jim is referring to is really useful, it compares 4 manufacturers 251 tracks and compares them for scale size etc. I used some 251 Fruil's on the 251c that Dragon issued, and although they looked nice, once painted, the difference between them and the kit indy links is almost impossiblt to see. The AFV ones are nice, I used a set on a sd.Kfz 11. The dragon EZ tracks are I believe, late pattern, but are a B****** to fit together, whilst the normal indy links that come with the Dragon 251 kits are not as fiddly and look great when finished.
In future, when I'm doing another Dragon 251 kit, not worth buying Fruil. To much trouble buying AFV. Too fiddly to fit Dragon EZ, too fragile using Modelkasten....I'm sticking with the kit tracks!

It really is an incredibly useful article - as I'm still toying with the idea of building one of these beasties, i'm following anything like this to try and make sense of the sheer number of kits available...Jim

A very usefull article.. I built dragon's 251/3 and found the included kit indy track links to be fairly easy to clean and assemble. Also this kit was the first time i used indy links.

Yep, I'd go along with what's written here. I've done the Dragon 251/6 Command vehicle & I thought the tracks were excellent (though obviously the parts were quite small). If the kit manufacturers can keep this standard up, I can't see the point of AM tracks. IMHO the only better indis were those on the Tamiya Famo, & that's just because they were bigger = easier!
