This is my Sd.Kfz 251/1 'Stuka Zu Fuss' entered into the AGE 2 Campaign. Overall the kit went together pretty well. The tracks aren't the greatest, but I think they look okay nonetheless. Though it's hard to make out in my lousy photo, I used the three color camo pattern. Dark yellow, dark green and red brown. Weathering was done with Polly acrylic dirt and Tamiya acrylic earth colors. Flat coat is MM acrylic.
I think now I'm hooked on these 251's. I now have three more in the stash and am trying to put off getting a couple more.

Cary,
That is one cool 251. AGE 2 is going to be a tough competition. I may still do a vehicle.

The launching racks for it are supurb. I am going to be hard pressed to come out with one worthy of comparing to this - though my first priority is having fun.

Ciao mauserman,
Really gorgeous job on it! Congratulations! Stupid question of the day (drumroll, please.) Why are the rounds, sitting in the two aft racks on both sides, appearing to be pointing slightly down as opposed to the two front rounds? Just wondering.
Ciao for now

Thanks for the kind words guys. Based on the pictures that I've seen on this board, I'm sure that the competition is going to be tough. But win or not, I had fun building it.
Rob, the only explanation I can offer for the two sets of aft rounds pointing downward is that the racks were one size, but the rounds were of two different sizes, 28cm and 32 cm. The rounds in the two front racks are the 32 cm ones. The 28 cm ones just don't fit as snuggly.
And yes, I'd love to put it into a dio. But since I'm just getting back into this hobby after too many years to think about, I figure one step at a time!
