Ronny,

I've never heard of the stuff he calls "Sea Foam". Neither have I seen it in a shop....

Do you know under what name it is sold in Belgium / Holland ?

Eagle--I couldn't find seafoam anywhere here in Canada either (apparently it is supposed to be sold in Model Train shops). I went to a local craft store and found something similar. Unfortunately, I have no idea what the stuff is called anymore, but if you check out a craft store, they might have something like it in the Floral section.

Ronny--One thing I just noticed with your model has to do with the stowage. I love all the clutter in the jeep, but there appears to be one bedroll on top that would probably fall off if the jeep were really moving. Stowage is a difficult thing to get right, and I haven't mastered it yet, but you really have to think whether or not that piece of equipment would actually stay on the vehicle. Some things are heavy enough that they can, but others need to be tied down. I still believe you made a very good scene overall, Ronny, keep it up.

Hope that helps,

Nic

Folgore,

you really got some sharp eyes there and you're right. I like the constructive way you described it. Like you said, it's a difficult thing to master indeed. Good you noticed it. It's something that is overlooked most of the time.

Danny here is that address for Sea foam, they also send per mail.
I bought it last year at the modeling event the Hasselt (next October 19/20), they have a stand there every year.

Nic,

About the bedroll, you are right, but I new this, I have noticed this after gluing it on and putting it on the dio, I tried to remove it but I could it not without damaging the stuff underneath (superglue), so I lat it be, next time better, #:-)

Hi,

I am pleased to announce that I have put several new pictures of my diorama on my website (click banner then go to models)

I took those pictures with the camera of my daughter, it is a simple one without a auto focus, but in a few weeks I will have a digital camera to use again.

Let me know what you think.

Danny,

Hasselt is a big event, but I must warn you that it is not only static or military, it also has a big focus on trains and R/C, but I still like it because you can find a lot of materials to buy.
The quality of the work presented in that contest differs from year to year. Last year I thought it was bad (even my diorama could be a prizewinner ), but the year before that it was (for me) good.
I don't think I will go Roeselare, because my wife reminded me of a gathering I must attend

Ronny,
I do have one bit of contructive criticism. Ditch (get rid of) the stacked up firewood on the side of the road. It reminds of things I use to do back in my twenties when I was actively building dios.
