Well, in a senior moment at the LHS, I bought a book....
and when I got home I found out I already had one, so it is going to be the first of several prizes that the grumpyoldman is donating for this campaign......
The book is:
US Tank Destroyers Walk Around..... a Squadron Publication.
Stay tuned because I'm sure as I go through the stash, sorting kits I'll never get around to building, and as sure as the sun rises in the east, and sets in the west, I'll be having more senior moments in the future. :-) :-) :-) :-)

No kidding! What is the criteria for winning the book? First place? runner-up for a placing? Just giving it to me
?

I really have no idea how the awards are handled....
BUT.... I'm sure the members of the A-Guard who ran the AGE1 Campaign.... and supplied the prizes will inform the campaign leader how they did it. And that they will be handled in a timely matter.

Well, I think it is safe to assume that the criteria doesn't include just giving it to me
. Just kidding (sort of
)

Another little tidbit for the ditty bag....
Since I bought these to actually use on the Tamyia M-8 armored car, but decided to make my own chained wheels, going into the prize pool will be aset of:
Verlinden #1411 M-8/M-20 wheels with snowchains, for Tamyia kit. 1/35 scale.

Well, just a bump to bring this back up, and respark some interest, and encouragement to finish up those entries, another one from the dusty vault at the grumps house.
This time it's an Italeri M1A2 Abrams, 1/35 scale, and tucked inside the box, is a Eduard Zoom set for the M1.
Good Luck to all, and I hope you are all enjoying the campaign so far., don't forget to post your entries into the proper section of the AGE2 Gallery, so you all get credit for the campaign, and a chance at the prizes.

Someone PM me and let me know where to send it.

The way prizes are set up is like this..1st place has choice of 3, 2nd place has choice of 2 and 3rd place has choice of 1...This applies to both groups bringing the total to12 donations which I believe we will far surpass (sp?) Should be very nice for the entrants and winners. There is also a hidden goodie to the first placers! Good Luck all.

Just an idea, but perhaps give out the awards based on geographic location. If someone wins from the far east, Cliff shots out his prize, someone from the US, Dave sends his award....
Kind of keep the mailing costs down and delivery times reasonable.
Now I'm going to have to dig through my boxes of kits to find an appropriate kit to donate.

I agree Rob, best idea is to try to keep a geographical diversity to try to keep the shipping cost down. I think the members just ship it to the winners, and there is really no central collection point, seems rather senseless to ship them someplace to be reshipped to another.

I agree ship them once cuts shipping costs and they get the stuff quicker, less chance of damaged items.

Agree with "Sabot" & "Grumpy" on the regional/localized and one shipment approach. Sounds like a great idea to give a great Campaign an even bigger boost. I've got an extra Tamiya 1/35 Merkava and would throw in a HobbyCraft 1/35 T-72 (might work into a nice diorama idea) to add to the goodies. Us "old guys" always seem to have more than we can do with, stuff gathered through the ages I guess. Let me know if interested,

If we are getting more than first, second, and third are able to receive, would it be a bad thing to make up additional categories? Most creative, most original model (i.e. a non-mainstream Tiger or Sherman; something a little rarier and more difficult), most progress made, etc.

due to my illness I would prefer to ship to someone within the next 6 weeks or so depending on when I have cash availiable to post. Even if it is to you or Steve (We Will Hold) Grumpy to pass on when the time comes.
This way if I do end up unavailiable due to illness at the end of the campaign I know that my prize will count.
Cheers

Hi all..No extension is in sight. Shipping would be best from point of origin (sp?) to winner ..really no sense to ship twice..besides if it came to me first, I might have a tough time shipping it away..lol. The large picturehere is that the winner chooses from a list...so it will be tough to set it up bt geography. On the same note ..if someone needs a hand with shipping cost...I can help on that end.

I am not near as old as most of these guys (I am only 41) but I do have a Revell Mustang (1/32nd) kit to throw into the prize pool. Someone is going to have to PM me and tell me where to send it because I will forget...
Sucks getting old...
