John,
All the staff members and moderators are listed on the About Us link at the top of the site.
I started the site back in 2001 and own it so I guess that makes me the head cheese.
Yes we all have regular jobs (although a couple are retired I think), so that makes the site only about 50% of our time.
The site makes enough money to keep paying the bill for our dedicated server and bandwidth. Anything left over has been used to help promote the site or pay shipping fees for review products and the like.
Cheers,
Jim

Shortly after winning the Superbowl the quarterback for the Patriots was asked what's next? Clearly he yelled out "I'm going to Armoramaland"!!!!
Yes, located on the vast wastelands just east of Clovis Caifornia , Jim Starkweather has designed and developed the fantasyworld of Armoramaland.
Armoramaland, where everything is plastic and resin!
Totally family oriented, packed with acres of fun entertainment. Ride the Shermans over the Kasseren Pass or win a kwipi doll by accurately hitting three targets with an 88mm flak gun. Fun for all!

Johnny, never you mind these guys. With comments like these, you would think these guys have way too much time on their hands. Bet you wish you never asked.
Perhaps they all need "real" regular jobs. :-)
Oh, and as far as the Top Brass, that would be a guy that goes by the name of ... I forget for now.

Gee, I keep hoping to get my promised Armorama coffee mug for 2000 posts, some of which were actually on topic.
I can't say enough about Jim and the moderators. The amount of time they put in, unpaid, is staggering.
Here's to them.

We might as well spill the rest of the beans...
- National flag is "camoflage"
- Entire army is comprised of Shermans and Tigers
- National Tree is made of wire wrap
- National Flower is 1/35 scale
- All grass is "static"
- the national obsession is "Photo Etch"

is this 100% of your time?
Nope, probably around 110%...
Seriously though, regarding the term 'Top Brass' that belongs to the 6565 registered users and the advertisers who keep the site running.
It's also worth plugging the comments in the previous post - The A-Guard, to hel keep the site what it is and to keep doing what we are doing, we need support. The easiest way of doing this, is going: HERE! ..Jim

I guess this would be a good time then to give our fearless leader Jim the 'official' news.
After several months of refitting, and countless hours of hard work by a very devoted crew of aviation engineers (some ex-Air Force) all performed under a very serious 'cloak of secrecy' here at Centennial Airport, in Colorado. The unvieling of the new and improved 'Armorama 1' , a 747-based private airliner devoted to the inflight pursuit of modeling happiness can be scheduled at your earliest convenience Mr. Starkweather!
The new 'Armorama 1' boast's onboard modeling rooms stationed in the lower rear passenger area, placed conveniently next to a window (so you can get 'natural' light when airbrushing), and built in air pressure plugs in the walls so that you don't have to listen to that annoying diaphrahm compressor noise.
Additionally, in the upper lounge area, there is in fact a true lounge called 'Grumpy's', where one can imbibe import beers and single malts from around the world.
But that's all I'll say for now, because anymore would just be 'braggin'.....
Tread.
