Hi Guys,
I am looking for pictures of the different version of the sdkfz 251. Especially pictures of the inside are very welcome.
Also I was wondering which aftermarket products are available for the new AFV and Dragon 251's ?
Thanks in advance,
Marc

Quite honestly, with the excellent price/quality balance, this can't be beaten: ..Jim https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/646

Follow my link below.
Here I have divided the SdKfz 251 into Ausf A, B, C & D
Ausf A and B are the hardest to distinguish.
I know Ausf A and B both had Straight Track guards.
Ausf A had vision ports along both sides of the soldiers compartment.
Ausf B had the pioneer tools moved to a different postion.

As a newly returned 251 nut, I'm sorry to say there is no one perfect reference for all the variants.
The old classic Encyclopedia of German Tanks of WWII by Chamberlin and Doyle has pictures and some interior shots of most variants.
The Ground power special is helpful for /21's and /22's with some line art of early B/C interiors.
Rytons schutzenpanzer has both 250 and 251 variants and pictures, but nothing great for interior or stowage coverage.
The new Kagero book is again good for a/b/c/d and versions up to /10 with good walkarounds of the exterior of the /7D at Samur but little to nothing on the interior, which looks largely bare.
I've got the new Rosagraf book on the way from Air connection and we'll see how that looks.
I don't have the old squadron volume or the osprey modeling manual.
What we really need is an Achtung Panzer Vol on the 251 and 250!

the best book I have is the Sturm and Drang book on the 250/251.
It's as rare as rocking horse sh1t in the uk, but I have a copy.

Hey there, verlinden makes a detail and engine kit for dragon sdkfz 251. The number for it is 2098. Verlinden also makes halftrack stowage which is 2099. Good luck.

NP bro, I got the verlinden book a couple days ago and it says right above the pictures "For Dragon". The halftrack stowage can probobly go on any type of sdkfz because its typical german soldier baggage. Good luck

I would dump the rucksacks from the kit, they only vaguely resemble the original.

This group is moderated to keep out spammers and the like I had forgotten it was All you have to do is apply for membership Maybe give a reason why you wish to join up,like say you are interested in modeling the SdKfz 251 Then just wait to be approved

Hi. I have one pic of a ambulance version. I have no idea of the date or theater of operation. Wish I could remember the web site but it was on of those can't sleep things. Its in my gallery. Hope it helps.

I have the new (ish?) Vanguard Osprey book on 251 variants, but I have to say that although it's very interesting, it's not that much help for modelling. It has a good ct away of the basic 251C in the middle, but only passing mentions of all the other variants. I'd love to find some really good reference including inside pics on these.

With the increased interest in the 251, I'd like to see Osprey commission a 2nd volume on modelling it....Jim

There was a Dutch site that had a lot of data on it, I downloaded a lot of it onto hard copy, but I don't have it with me unfortunately! Also I can't find the site now, I stumbled on it by entering "Hanomag" (you had to sift through a lot of farm machinery!). Doh!!
