I finally finished the M 931 tractor and the M 172 trailer. I added a 1000 gal tanker body with two crates of the pump hardware for the cargo. The trailer is scratch built, and the tractor is a modified Italeri M 923 big foot. The tanker body is from my parts box and the crates are scratch built using Evergreen plastic stock. The tie downs were made using drafting tape and plastic stock.

Dave you must be a cross between Mack motors, and Fruehauf trailers as fast as your putting them out. You got an assembly line of elf's down there helping you.

At first I thought your tie downs were the wrong color, then I remembered the military has it's own green straps, cause they gave me some one time. The states don't bother them when they are out on the roads.

That trailer was the real one a RGN and what kind was it or do you know, but your model is in the fixed position isn't it.

I am not sure what you mean by RGN. Are you talking about the trailer manufacture? The goose neck on these trailers were fixed. The did not articulate up and down if that is what you are referring to. I am not sure who made the trailer from the photo's I used for this project. I got my line drawings from the JED web site. http://www.jedsite.info/content/jed1.html I find this site the best so far for refs photos.

Dave, there is two kinds, a fixed goose neck, and a RGN, which is short for removable goose neck, not much use for a fixed one where I worked at, but the military would have all kinds of stray dogs.
