actually the whole kit is almost done..pictures and references are few..and one thing i've noticed..most of them aren't beaten or weathered. yeah..those guys really know how to clean their trucks.

Never heard of this vehicle before. What country (-ies) operates it? Looks like a modern Dragon Wagon
Oh very nice. Kinda fun making a vehicle that, to be accurate, does not require much weathering.

The Faun is used mostly by Germany, Canada had a couple as well when we had our Leopards in Germany. I am sure there may be other countires around Germany that may use it as well....got to transport the MBTs somehow.

You built a great example of the FAUN SLT. The color pattern is right on and the brown looks dead on. I could not find the proper color when I painted mine. Looking forward to seeing it finished.

Something I was wondering about, them boxes on the right side right behind the cab, what are they, and how come the real one has two, and the model has one, could it be a year difference, or I guess it depends on what it is I guess, do you know why ?
By the way, great work on the model, stainless

I don't know what these boxes are (would have to check in my references), but the difference between the photo and the model is that photo shows Faun Elefant (8x8) tractor, while the model represents Faun Franziska (6x8). These are similar vehicles, but not the same and these boxes are just one of many differences.

Looks great -- lots of complexity & beams & hoses & thingies -- not some boring old hunk of armor with no character !!!! Great work, looking forward to the rest of it.

hi there,..almost done with the rest of the set. 'm still thinking if to weather or not. looks good just the way it is. the leo2A5(tamiya) sits pretty well on the trailer. hope you like them..thanks.
tyres needs a little weathering. spraying it flat black will do? i'll just leave it that way. thanks again.

Awesome, a fully set up tank transporter sure looks good. You did a good job on both the transporter and the Leo.. As for the tyres, don't use matt black, use German grey, then dry brush with Nato Black, and finally rub some black pastels on the side walls of the tyres with your finger tips.
Cheers

I can only hope that my faun will look half as nice as yours.
Nicely done.. and while the germans keep their stuff clean.. this one's a bit too clean.. a little, subtle weathering of the wheel wells, tyres and wheels won't hurt it .

Great, great job. A worthy model! Tank might want to run out and get some dirt on it though. Seems a bit clean for normal usage. But who am I to say. Both tank and transporter just to good for words.

Hey,
great job
I hope mine will look so good! I only would weather the tires a bit. The Leo should be tied down and have some dust or dirt added to the running gear.
Here is a link to pics with the "Elefant" in Action:

Click on " Zur zweiten Bildseite" for more pics.
In Detail shows some good pics how tanks are tied down to the trailer.
As you can see under normal conditions the vehicles are pretty clean.
Happy modelling

I was wondering what it was hauling on the trailer. I seen a model of it in my travels through web sites.
