Everything else has fit fine but the front fenders have a big gap between the skirts and the edge of the fenders. I'm going to have to put shims all around to clean it up.
Anybody else run into this? I don't see how I could have screwed it up.

Nope, you're not alone Paul, this was probably the most "finnicky" area in my kit also. I cut, filed, sanded, and I'm still not totally satisfied, but it looks OK. (I have to admit I've become somewhat anal with this kit, I wanted it to be "perfect")

Here is mine. As you can see it, I just could not totally fix that point too (with the left fender)
I got another fit issue with the sliding roof hatches which definitely didn't slide at all. I had to enlarge their location to manage setting them in place but in no way I could have them still moveable.

Nice conversion however

I forgot how much grinding I had to do to get the turret hatches moveable. Even went through the roof by mistake.
