PLAYBOY,ETC FROWNED UPON?
Yup, they don't even sell most of then in the PX anymore, and the less hard-core like Playboy and some of the other soft-core ones are in plastic covers now as well. I guess we are becoming a much more pure army of warfighters and killers. (If that makes sense.)

Wow, that's a lot of great info from Heavy Art! Thanks a lot. So I should not just load up my OIF models with whatever I have in terms of accessories?
Happy modeling!

Playboy? Come on... No one wants to be labeled as a pervert anymore nowadays. Even in the military, OK? :-)

Hi Nick,
Im Surprised by Gino's info as in the British army those sort of magazines are fine, as is beer(off duty of course)
British newspapers are also supplied.
if you want to produce magazines then FHM, Loaded, Nuts, Zoo etc are the most popular,
for newspapers the Sun is definately the most common one, but other tabloids will be fine (the mirror, daily star/sport etc)
for beer any of the popular British beers like Carling/Boddingtons/Fosters and others like Guiness etc.
Most blokes out there, at Shiaba or basra buy little fridges to keep their beer cold, and also stuff families send that they cant get out there like cheese etc
ill sort out the ration pack pictures for you, and i hope this gives you some more ideas!
regards
joe
