Since there was a topic on what shermans people are working on,its only fair to see what us Axis builders are working on I have 2 kits on the go.
- Tamiya Tiger early wittmanns S04
- Tamiya Tiger late wittmanns 205
I have painted the base coat on the early Tiger but not yet ready to try and do a winter camo, so ill finish the late one first. After i have built both kits then its on to wittmanns Tiger 222 .
cheers and happy modeling

I'm a closet Axis modeler...

I have a DML Panther A, AFV Club's Tiger I ausf E (Late) and DML's Tiger I (Initial Production 3-in-1) kits on the workbench. For me that's a huge amount of Axis subjects...

Hi, Bits and pieces of 4 right now:

Dragon's 3-in-1 Tiger I Initial kit.

AFV's Tiger I Late.

Dragon's Flame halftrack.

Dragon's 1/72 Maus, which is the current one that is anywhere near finished, and most likely will be before the other three, by a long shot.

A couple good things about the smaller stuff is that I can usually get one done in about a week or week and a half, thus I see some progress from start to finish in a rather quick manner. And what with the new Dragon smaller stuff so darn nice, they are rather addicting to do as well. Have built their little Jagdpather, Jagdtiger, and Sturmtiger here in the last couple of weeks or so and am well satisified with all of them. Bet you can't build just one. Ha!

Good luck to you in completely all those projects that seem to litter the workbench of all modelers it would seem.

Take care, Sgirty

Vinnie, with the speed in which you build, you should be through that list in two weeks.

I have a couple of 251's a pak 40, Ostwind, neblewherfer(sp?) panther......

I have a Tamiya Panther and a Tamiya 221 A/C in the works. They are both great models. I am going to make the 221 a desert version and the Panther I am not sure about.

The only Axis stuff in progress now is a little CMK Skoda 35(t) that keeps getting pushed aside for other projects but it's 95% there and just needs decals and finishing; an Italeri BMW with sidecar that seems too small and fiddly to even worry about; there's an Academy IDF M51 that's caught up to about the same 95% state and I'd love to get the tanks out of the way for the TD campaign. I have an old Italeri Elefant lined up for that.

Depends on what you mean by "on the bench" he he...literally on the bench I have:

Tamiya's King Tiger Ardennes Front
Dragon's Panther II
Dragon's E100

I'm only really actively working on the King Tiger and the E100.

I have a Tamiya Wespe on the work bench. I started this model many moons ago for the long since completed "Incoming" campaign. I have vowed to complete this kit before I move on to another subject. The bleepin' military has been keeping me so dang busy, I haven't had much time to model lately. Hopefully that will change soon.

In this picture, it had some paint applied. I noticed some seams still showing and I did some sanding. Also in this picture, I was test fitting some fruil track. I hope to update the progress on this next week.

A lot of my kits are Axis subjects. Axis vehicles are just much more interesting.

Here is my stash.

I also have two Tamiya Dragon Wagons, two Tamiya FAMO's, a 1/32nd scale Academy F/A-18C "American Bug" and a Tamiya 1/48th F-117 Stealth Fighter.

In actual rotation and making progress...

E100 with DML IR gear nearly done, just need to finish weathering.
DML Jadgtiger Henchell early construction stages

Been started, but not in current rotation,
Loads of 251D's and Panthers as well
Some 250's and a Marder IIIM, assorted flak projects, tons of DML figures..

It's not a hobby, it's a mental illness...

I'm not telling. It is going to be a suprise. Spending way too much time on a diorama with a whole smack load of Germans.

Dioramas count, don't they....

i have a lot.

But my next project, which will start on May 1, will be a 1/35th scale Dragon Nashorn. It will be a special model since this will be the first time that I will add AM products:

1) Verlinden Nashorn Update Set for the interior (courtesy of Blade48mrd)

2) CMK Aluminum Barrel and resin breech (courtesy of Defcon1, a Filipino friend)

3) I'll try to make a scratchbuild driver's side interior.

The model will be my entry for the Tank Destroyer campaign.

I have a kubelwagen which my cat broke and its now destined to be a wreck in a dio with my sherman and daimler scoutcar. I had the picture in my head of a kubel taking a wrong turn and finding itsdelf face to face with a sherman ploughs through a shop window taking out a motorbike in the process. Why? well I saw a real nice dispatch rider figure but cant think of any british motorbike kits so under the kubel will be bits of some other bike poking out.
No plans at the moment for any other axis kits tho.
