I think Chad's first idea about not building the same type of Sherman as in the last Sherman build makes more sense than to eliminate the whole ETO... Not that it matters to me cause I got lots of different Shermans to build from a whole lot of theatres ,but as long as I don't build another M4A2 mid production Sherman I don't see a problem...Then again it's up to Chad to decide ..it's his baby!

Anyone know if the M4A3E2 was in Italy.

Jacques,
No Jumbos in Italy, they were all used in NW Europe.

I think that was ShermiesRule's idea about not building an identical hull type that you did for the last Sherman campaign I think I'll go with that idea rather than non-ETO
Or maybe just add a suggestion to build non_ETO Shermans Usually when someone does build a Sherman they have ETO markings I'd like to see more Meditteranian/N.Africa/Pacific war or even post war Shermans built

There's still time to add any ideas anyone else has

Yes that was me!!! I was hoping to get some more variety. I will make another suggestion. You can build the same hull type if you it has been modified significantly like an Aunt Jemima, Calliope, Crab, Dozer, etc. So if you built the M4 Early you may build another M4 Early if you attach some major add-on.

SHERMIE"S,
I"M DEFFINATELY in since I missed the 1in 10 campaign. I'm always game for the Sherman.
And I might have a fighting chance at completing this one.

One suggestion. I like the idea of POST war type shermans.....IE: Post Korea time frame!!
Whadiya think ?

Since the campaign is only starting in JAN 2006, I'm sure that I can give it a go!

Normally you upload your in progress shots into your Armorama gallery (you get one just by being a member). You can post them in a message in the Armor/AFV forum, the Rivet Review forum (for constructive critques), or into the Campaign Command forum. Completed photos are uploaded into a gallery created for the group build and can be posted in Armor or Campaign forums.

To the theme of what a wonderful world this would be.

Dont know much about a Sherman Tank,
Dont know much about the rounds it takes,
but I do know that I love it, and I know that if you love it too,
What a wonderful campaign this could be!

Yall finish the rest.

Hi All

Count me in, I would like to build a M4A1 Late Hull as a M1 Sherman used by the IDF and a M4A(?) used by the Scots Greys in Italy. Both in 1/35th scale. I would also like to do something in Braille scale.

Hopefully I may beable to visit Edinburgh Castle and research the Scots DG Library to see what the have.

Do we really have to wait until January.

cheers

You? No Shermans in your Stash?

Man never though that was possible :-)

Hmmm gonna do a new Shermie soon...wel 2 actually. The Sherman crab and a M32 (based on M4 hull). After that a Sherman Firefly is on the wishlist as well as a M4A3 dozer.....think the last one is a nice entry for this campaign if it will start
