I like to apply the transfers to a decal sheet and cut them out to apply to the model. I find this an easier way to get them straight and the only way that I am able to get them on a angled area.

Andrew, I really have found them to be very user friendly, just follow the directions and tips at the link Dave left. I use a dull #2 pencil to rub them on, that way I can tell I've rubbed the whole thing. The only daunting part is if you are applying several individual numbers or letters (like a bumper code, or something similiar). In that case I use a piece of low tack tape applied where I want them to be to help me keep everything in a straight line.

Good luck,
Mike
